Mrs Dalloway

What influence can we see from Mrs Dalloway in the more common “extraordinary day in the life” stories of today?

I would be pretty upset if someone compared me to a bird and said I looked sickly and pale…

Why does Peter thinking of Wagner and poetry makes him boring!?

Why does everyone seem almost too elated to be alive?  Solely because the war is over?  Lucrezia doesn’t seem to be having any of it though…she misses Italy!

What was with that random man that mentions religion and belonging?

Clarissa seems to question her sexuality pretty strongly here, why?

Clarissa certainly seems to complain about her marriage/Richard a lot, does she not like men at all or just poor Richard?
